The Newport 12 Meter was first introduced in the 1960's to an exclusive group in Newport Beach, California, and was later introduced to the
general public as the boats grew in popularity.
The Newport 12 Meter is one of the oldest recognized one-design classes by the AMYA, and over four decades of rigid compliance with the
AMYA rules and regulations allows boats nearly 50 years old the ability to competitively compete with a newly-christened boat.
Hanna Boats has designed the Newport 12 Meter R/C Yacht as the '700 Series', making the boats available for the first time ever as a
complete kit with one source for the necessary hardware and equipment - utilizing the best in materials and craftsmanship.
